John Peel was an amazing host and helped so many on their road to fame from obscure backgrounds.
I’ve been practicing this today. Great bass line and not overly technical.
This is awesome.
Such a good movie, the actors did an amazing job. They actually performed the soundtrack themselves.
Some classic Hooky in there too. Rocking a Rick on the BBC!
The similarities there are quite insane!
They did a truly outstanding job.
The “Disorder” scene is probably my favorite. So well done. My favorite song too

Hard to believe it’s the actors performing the song as well. I can’t play that bassline that well myself.
Nice head butt from “Hooky”
The best part is how believable that is!
He’s such a mellow, super nice guy now, but back then was an old-school post-punk from Manchester. I could easily see that happen.
Here a really cool bassline from a video game (which is not from DOOM), I’m fan of this soundtrack for a long long time
Really like that one as well. The bridge gives me some trouble though with the rhythm changes. I can’t seem to get the 16th notes right
Ooh, love that.
the SBV’s tone in this one. I wonder which one she is using.
I knew a few lads from Manchester back in the day and they certainly could look after themselves
Yep. And these were the guys that more or less kicked off the Manchester post-punk scene.
yeah when they did the first tour for zen, we followed them briefly around the midwest, saw them like 6 times in a row. i’m still thankful i did that.
That’s awesome, what an opportunity. I have a friend that passed up a chance to do that with Social Distortion and I bet they regret it deeply now.
I wanted to introduce you all to some ABBA and post a track, a much maligned band in music circles who deserve more listening even today. So here goes…
OMG what am I saying! I’m sorry! Must be the heat at the moment in the UK, had a moment of temporary madness there…
What I meant to say is here is one of my all time fav tracks by The Cult

(Yes I know what’s coming, this is where you all tell me you’re actually secret ABBA fans )
