"Share some good music" Friday

Wow, that gets real awesome around 2:50.

This is perfectly serviceable post-punk right here too. I had no idea.

If you or anyone missed it, Modern English did a quarrantine cover which I quite enjoyed.

Cool! They have been touring and had a new album a couple years back. Good to see.

Yeah that’s way better than anything I remember by them. I just missed the boat there I guess.

I’ve been a big fan of Wilco for years and John Stirratt has been there since the start. I appreciate it may be too navel gazing for some, but Nels Cline is something else.
This song made me want to learn to play an instrument.

I always thought a little Buffalo Springfield-y. Not a bad thing.

This album is the best one they ever did. I credit it to the change in position on guitar - I think this one they had the Mr. Bungle guitarist in? Such an incredible record start to finish!

Yeah but I will say that all their albums after the MTV hits one have been really good, IMO. I really liked their “comeback” one a few years ago.

Green Day does a better cover but this is pretty solid too.

Original is still best though.

Best messy breakup song ever made.

A bit different than what most people here are in to, and no bass (guitar), but I just brought him up in another topic, so here we go. One of the modern synth masters. Like most music of this genre, it builds slowly, so bear with it

One of my musical heros to be sure.

Totally agree. I think the guitarist shift was permanent, and the music kind of opened up. The most recent album is killer. Their stage shows were incredible. Made me remember this - just the visuals are so gorgeous! From 2015:

Didn’t really know this girl, but I’ve always liked Adrian. And damn this girl is impressive

Yup… we’ve had her before - I vividly remember that crazy painting video! Mighty impressive playing though…

Not my kind of thing but I found that strangely hypnotic.

Just the most insanely talented singer. But I gotta say, it’s always been tough for me to listen to her solo stuff after Carolina chocolate drops broke up. They were such a great inspiring band and me and my wife would always see them when they played.
