"Share some good music" Friday

Thank you, @John_E - I totally agree, and he’s one of the last people who would have an effect on how I think of myself. There are some people who say things like that just to see how you respond, and then there are some who actually think like that. Sadly, he’s the second type; it’s his loss that he chooses to discount the talents of half the world’s population.
I did have some choice words for him. The first one was “f*ck” and the second one was “off.”

@terb I know you love stoner/sludge/doom bands so I have a feeling you will love this first entry if you don’t know about it already.

Yob has been the last band I saw playing live before the covid thing, at the very end of 2019 ! and Atma has been probably their album I’ve listen the most often

LOL So I’m preaching to the choir! God that must have been so amazing to see because nothing beats a live experience. Especially seeing this band in particular. I can’t pick favorites, I love all their material evenly. They are an incredible band, I only wish I could see them but who knows if that will ever happen now.

Why the F can’t we have all these kickass all-female rockin’ bands in the USA?
Sigh.

I just don’t get why we don’t.

The Warning from Mexico announced their first North American headlining tour today. Maybe they’ll come close to you.

Looks really cool, too bad I will never see it.
I don’t know who NBC thinks will pay for Peacock when there is so much else to watch.

Interesting.

Puts me in mind of Melsickscreamoannie, Mel, whom I have been watching for a few years now. She hails from Indonesia

I have ideas and suspicions, @John_E and @Wombat-metal , but nothing in concise, articulate prose. Just a bunch of cuss words, really.

I watched both the Runaways and the Go-Go’s documentaries and was really getting pissed off at how many times it was said how groundbreaking they both were being all girl bands and how much $hit they had to put up with.

I want a world where women doing something isn’t groundbreaking, its the norm.
At work all the jr engineers that are any damn good are all women, they are crushing the ‘boys’. I have 3 women and one guy working for me, 20s-30s. The poor fella is being run circles around him by the women and he knows it.

I’ve seen Babymetal at a sold out Wembley Arena and sold out LA Forum. The fans will come. Won’t get into their travails; they’ve fought hard to be accepted.

But here’s an engineer song for you @John_E

Am I the only one annoyed at how relaxed this dude is playing this insane bass line? (great dang tune too!).
