Any love for the bass on Jamiroqai? Surprisingly good live band, I saw them years back and was blown away by the performance. Lots of heavy bass slides in this one (song starts about a minute in):

I love my metal and this is a really hard hitting piece in so many ways.
I worked on a shooting estate in a tiny village in Yorkshire when I left school and my lasting memory is the WW1 war memorial to all those who fell in the “Great War” . Every family within the village must have lost someone. So sad.
On a side note, the football game in no man’s land actually happened.

She is where I learned about the song and then said ‘hey, I want to play that too’… and then I bought the sheet music…that’s as far as I have gotten.
Drives me nuts that she stopped posting, she’s an amazing player.

Here’s a fun thing (I think) for Friday: some old video of DC punk band Lickity Split playing at The Black Cat in DC back in the day (that day being 5/20/1997). They had lost their guitarist, and Brian Baker from Minor Threat (!!!) stepped in to do a few shows with them.
Bonus: if you look at the right side of the stage starting around 2:22, you can see me taking photographs of my friend Chuck, the drummer. At 2:42 I have a short convo with the bass player (ha!). Good times.
There is also a guy with long dark hair taking photos - that is NOT me.
