Seriously funky
Been on a major Tiki kick for a while now. Discovered “The Hula Girls” via the lead singer’s channel Spike’s Breezeway Cocktail Hour where he focuses on Tiki history and lifestyle and such. Fascinating channel and very well presented.
Back to The Hula Girls, though. They are a combination of satire and love letter to the old 1950/60’s surf music. Throw on one of their albums, grab a Mai Tai, Zombie or Chief Lapu Lapu and find a sunset.
Man, this is tasty
What do you reckon @Ed ?
Hey now that hits the spot @Mac ! Good to see they’re still going as well
Hope all is well with you and horses man. Got that T-bird yet?
All good here mate. Busy with helping out the neighbours fencing and splitting wood ( 8 tonnes on Tuesday just gone) and of course training for the upcoming fire season.
No T bird yet . I’m actually not having any GAS whatsoever since I got the JB which is quite shocking.
The horses are going well. Up to 15 now but no more on the horizon.
Hope you’re health is improving @Ed
Whoa that is a lot of horses! And a lot of wood.
I’m up for an small operation in a couple of weeks but after that hopefully I can start getting back to normal ![]()
Have yourself a fine weekend!

All the best for the op @Ed
For any of you lucky enough to be in Europe this summer, if you would like to catch an excellent instrumental post-metal band live, I really like Syberia.

@joergkutter I think you might like this one
Ha, yeah, I seem to be channeling music like that into my own compositions… just without the vocals. And, strangely, without any prior knowledge of this group/tune.
I am sure it’s just a phase ![]()
It’s a good phase, just roll with it ![]()
She’s great BTW, love Santigold. Her backup singers are the best part.
Where did all the synths go???
![]()
Hah! Yeah, she’s pretty varied.
