I have never, ever heard of something being “homed” in. I have heard of things being “honed” to perfection…not “homed” to perfection. Well, learn something everyday.

Yeah, to hone is to sharpen something.

To “home in” on something or someplace is to get to where you’re aiming to go or accomplishing what you intended to do.

Regardless, congrats on your shim work! Glad to hear it worked out so well, Eddie.
