Back around December 4th I bought my second fretless bass, and roughly a few hours ago. I bought my third fretless.

Back in winter of 2021 I bought my very first fretless bass. It was a Rogue LX200BF with the P/J pickup configuration. It also had 2 volumes & 2 tones. I paid $200 for my Rogue fretless delivered from Guitar Center. A year later I had to sell her,

Then on Temu I bought a GLarry Chinese acoustic bass and a fretless. Both of them needed the fretboard hydrated really good. (Because they were dryer than the desert.)

My fretless is also needed the neck to be finished, and the electronics swapped out for better quality ones. For $75.00 with free shipping for my second fretless, and $72.00 plus free shipping for my third fretless.

I decided to install a double jazz humbucker in my second. Well I truly miss playing my ‘G’ Larry fretless. While I work on her. I had a little extra cash, and decided to buy me another fretless bass.

I know and understand why y’all bass playing musicians. Turn your noses up on cheap Chinese made instruments. But, for a quick delivery and really easy on the wallet. With just a little bit of tech & luthier work, and a pickup swap. You can have you

Which one is the pic?

So, @BeerBaron How do you like the SR370F?

I like it a lot, but with a few critiques.

On the whole, it is a nice instrument that feels good and is fun to play. There are features I would want if I spent more money, but this was $250 well spent. It is a nice instrument, not merely “good enough”.

It is my current go-to when I just want to unwind and play around later in the evening.

I need to replace the mic jack, but that’s not a big deal. I’d also prefer a thicker neck, but generally not a big deal.

I would like a sturdier or more rigid neck. Being thin as it is, I discovered I could easily bend the neck when fingering at the first fret position causing buzz easily. This was solved by just adjusting it for a bit more neck bow.

I’m still figuring out what sort of pickup and preamp tones I like best for what types of music. I want to find some good band songs that would show off the fretless character well.
