Shortening strings at the ball end for sub short scale bass using cable nipple screws!?

@Whying_Dutchman any reason you didn’t steal the balls off of a dead set of strings and just re-wrap a cut non double ball end strings?

I’m looking at string prices for my Steinberger and I’m thinking of trying it.

I simply ran out of strings to destroy :slight_smile:

But now I know many methods that fail miserably…

I have a wire bending jig for fishing lures maybe I should buy a bunch of cheap strings ball ends and mark it up 3x :sweat_smile:
