Congrats on your new 5 stringer. I just purchased one myself and it’s a bit tricky to get used to the string spacing, but I feel it’s working well for me.

So do you think buying a Seymour Duncan ENMM pickup/EQ would be worth it later on?
I love my EMGs on my other bass but for this one I’d really like the sound to be as “Stingray” as possible.

Well, I don’t remember seeing the MM5 with mounting tabs on Seymour Duncan they are more classic style with no tab so you are going to do some mod with pickguard and/ or cavity.
There are several brands that delivers exceptional Stingrays experience. I love my Delano, also love the Aguilar

Hahaha ok there were these (animal) stingrays that were black with white circle spots. They were pretty cool. Even with that, you can tune a bass and you can tuna fish… So I’m at a loss for what to say here.

The gold hardware and strings with the white pup looks pretty awesome on Al’s but it’s just not me.
It’s how Ibanez also went with the otherwise perfect SR2400APL and I am just so conflicted. And still want one.
