Resistance is futile @Mac! No issues with the neck dive, I know it’s been an issue with T-birds especially with those massive headstocks, it’s not that heavy, I’ve got a wide Minotaur strap which helps. It’s a joy to play, sounds great and it looks so damn good!!!
Damn that black red “marble” is beautiful.
I dunno which part of globe you are from, but if you are EU located maybe look into Thomann, since they have 30 day return policy if the bass is not right for you.
Im telling you this because I have same issue living in s***hole where I cant get my hands on many popular basses to try them out before buying, so if my GAS kicks in Ill order one from Thomann.
How do you like you’re Harley Benton @Tallulah? They’re so reasonably priced. It looks great!
Sounds beautifully!!! Much better than the MM to me.
I KNOW!!
The HB was ordered in Thoman. I live in Canary Island and order my HB bass in Thoman was the best thing I could do! I’m totally in love with it
That’s fantastic!
Guitar Center and Sam ASH and Sweetwater and Musicians Friend have a 90 day return policy. They pushed it out to 6 months during COVID, but probably have taken that back by now.
If you order from Guitar Center online, and you have to return it, YOU CAN just take it to the closest Guitar Center (if there is one) and return it in person instead of having to ship it back at your expense.
I think you can at Sam Ash too. Sweetwater, IDK, probably have to spend your money to ship it back, UNLES (possibly) if you are exchanging it.
Musicians Friend is owned by Guitar Center, but are completely separate entities, so you can’t return Musicians Friend stuff at Guitar Center unfortunately, which is highly ODD since they share the same USED INVENTORY, or at least a bunch of it.
Cool, I had no idea you could. Thanks for the heads up!
You can do it with USED gear also, even if you have the used gear shipped from a Guitar Center on the other side of the continent.
I made it a point to find out when I ordered an Ibanez SR300 used that was in Nashville or somewhere like that.
I liked the bass, and never planned to return it, but because of the 6 months covid policy, It just never made me fall in complete love with it, before 6 months was up, and took it back, and traded it for a Ray4.
It was older, like 2010, but felt flimsy and couldn’t get many good tones from the preamp. Funny thing, I sold the Ray4 I turned it in for. It was the Ray4HH, and I also couldn’t fall in love with that bass. Something about the 2 pickups, I just prefer my Rays with a single pick up.
Welcome @braydoneldon.
Did you wet dip the body? I like the color.
That turned out awesome!
Welcome @braydoneldon, glad you are here.
That paint job is amazing!
Thank you!
Thank you. Didnt turn out bad at all!
No, I didnt wet dip it. I did a fluid painting on it. First i had to take the strings off, then I had to sand it down. After that, I taped the areas off that I didnt want paint on/in, then I painted the back, let it dry, and then painted the front. After that process, i took the tape off, and sprayed it with clear gloss spray. Then I put the strings back on it.
