That is an incredible looking bass! I want one! Now!
That’s a seriously classy build @Wombat-metal
Nice @Wombat-metal, that is a looker
Congrats, @Wombat-metal. Fine looking baby you got there…
It looks wonderful! Damn, Joe did good! It is prettier than mine. He brought mine ready to play. He did a set up and leveled the frets and it played great out of the box. I know he probably did that to yours. That neck is so pretty.
Okay I’ve tuned her up and tried her out, neck is so smooth, and with a 14" radius is super fast. Nice profile, not super thin, but has enough meat to grab onto without being chonky. Frets are perfectly dressed.
The pickup is hot. I have to back off the volume a bit or I would be booming. The pickup is punchy, she would hold her own in a mix.
Downsides.
Not sure about the Fender rounds. Will try it with Thomastik-infelds. Also she picks up everything. Time to bring my muting up to a new level. Probably time to restart B2B and do my own commit.
To think I almost pulled the trigger on a gold foil. If you are looking for a bass, I would recommend Joe Cucci
Joe is the best…What was the pickup you used again? The SD?
Yeah, it’s a Seymour Duncan Quarter Pound
Yeah, those damn things could punch through a wall with volume and attack. And you are right, your muting has to be spot on. I did turn down my tone control along with the TI flats to get that under control. The TI’s on it will turn it into absolute perfection.
Ok she’s a looker. Forget this chilling nonsense, grab it and rock out!
Can always adjust the pickup down a bit.
Fantastic looking bass!!
That rug really……
I can’t believe we missed that in the first couple of comments
And this is why I love the BassBuzz forum. You guys make me smile all the time.
Wow! That looks amazing. Congrats!
The only thing holding me back from taking a bass family picture is my lack of a good rug. In fact I don’t even have a rug at the moment.
My thing that tied the room together was a small lamp. It was on top of an amp in a pic I took. Do you have a small lamp?
Forget the rug. Go for it, @Shibata. Let’s see your beauties on display. It should be eye-poppingly good.
