That’s a real classic, @cjh808 . . .

Good luck with it and welcome to the Forums!

Enjoy @cjh808. I just got one myself about 3 weeks ago.

Cool @JerryP ! Any tips and tricks? Have you changed the strings to flats? What strap do you use?

Thanks @Jazzbass19 !

No tips or tricks yet, just getting used to how light it is compared to my Hamer which is what I’ve been using for the course. Of course the short scale takes a bit of getting used to it too. I plan on putting flat wounds on it and got a set the other day. I’ve been discussing with BassBuzzers here about changing them myself, but I may have them done professionally when the world opens up. I use a regular strap but I play sitting down so I’m not having any trouble with strap issues.

I follow Bass Players United on Facebook only because they post beautiful bass porn everyday. Pretty funny coincidence that today they posted a Tidepool Fender Jazz!

this Jaguar in tidepool/maple is gorgeous :star_struck:

Yours is prettier. The maple fretboard is the cherry on the cake. I think the rosewood fretboard doesn’t suit it very well.

Plus your pick guard really makes it pop. Huge difference between “Very pretty” (the other one) and “Stunning” (yours @BassFaceDisgrace )

I love the Fender pastel colors, especially the blues, greys, and yellow.

I always kinda hated the look of my bass before. The previous owner had taken the pickguard off and spray painted it black. The color and texture never really worked for me. It just didn’t suit my personality at all. So it was about time for an aesthetic upgrade!

She could definitely do with a healthy dose of TLC and a new set of strings. The fretboard is grimy, the body could also do with a nice polish. But it’s straight, and the action is pretty low – it has had a setup in a dim past.

The neck is nice! Quite thin – thinner than the jazz, and I like that! First (unamped) impression is that it’s a joy to play!

Like it! The bass wall looks great.

But…

Where will the next one go? Hmm?

I just realised that I paid a grand total of 200 euros for these three bass guitars. And 150 of those euros went into the 5 string fretless…

If that isn’t playing bass on a shoestring, I don’t know what is.
