Show Us Your Basses (Part 1)

I haven’t got a favourite one I think. Playing on all of them…but if I need to choose one I like Markus Miller V3 jazz bass and Spector for fast playing😁

@1978popo, please see my Left Handed Bass Instruments (Lefty Bass) thread, where I’ve recently added a list of basses for lefties, all I’ve found so far that are currently offered new (in no way complete, of course).

It would be great if you’d like to post a list of your basses there, with descriptions if you have the time!

I’ll take individual photo of all my basses with short description if you like.

Sure, that would be great!
And since no one else mentioned it that I’ve noticed, you might want to go over to the Introduce Yourself thread and do so. A belated welcome to the B2B forum!

… Not enough storage space? :joy:

Is that a Sire P7 you’ve got there (bottom picture, left)? How do you like it?

Hi Mike. It is indeed Sire P7. Very nice versatile bass. Combination of P and J pickups gives you variability in tone especially with Markus Miller preamp. I’m using her in passive mostly though. Switching to active on slap because you can get more brightness etc.

You have a major problem, one I can see clearly they are all left handed, lol.

After posting about this on the Bass Porn thread I decided to see if there were any at Guitar Center, you know for fun. They had one but it had one too many strings. Still fell in love with it. So I looked on Reverb to see if there were any used ones…

Almost 50% off and one week later, here we are!

I actually bought it off of someone from Illinois! You folks have fine taste in Basses over there

My only slight concern is that it’s seeming to drop out of tune very quickly - I assume that has to do with shipping or something? Either way I’m having my techie buddy come over to check it out/help me swap out the strings and whatnot.

Which strings are you going to put on?

I’m still pretty new (1 month) so I figured some Ernie Ball Slinky Regular Roundwounds (50 - 105) would be a good fit.

I have NYXL’s but I have a pair of Slinky regular in the drawer waiting to be up next. I hear bends are much easier with Slinky’s.

Nice! There are a few nice shops, especially near Chicago. Jim Peterik, formerly of Survivor, has mentioned them many times online and in his book.

Give it a week before you worry about tuning or truss rod adjustments, needs to stabilize.

Beauty of a bass BTW

Great advice, I’ll take it to heart
