I like the new MusicMan Mono case. It’s kinda one crush and done but very usable and light weight.

The Joe Dart red lining is also very cool

I’ve heard Mono makes really good cases. I almost got one myself.

For the money you can get the RoadRunner Highway series case for half the price, a Third of the price when they are on the Guitar Center/ Musician’s friends daily deal. I paid $70 for them. Very similar and more storage space, and most important of all. It’s generic.

Last thing you want to do on a gig is to advertise what’s in the case. If I have to bring a MusicMan hardshell case on a gig I’d make sure that’s it’s the most beat up one.

can’t agree more (also why I use a generic Tobago gig bag for my MIA Fender Precision Bass that I use all the time)

Also when I used to play live very often with my Telecaster, I had a piece of duct tape over the “Fender” logo on the case, for this reason.

Yeah great idea. You can get away with it a little with Fender nicer well padded gig bag because it’s generic enough. On my favorite gig soft case, I poured a bit of bleach around the top and back side to make it more identifiable just in case someone has the same case. It also have an Apple AirTag in the soft compartment. I bought a set of 4 that I put in my bass cases.

Apple radio tracking beacon

basically it’s a BLE beacon that Apple has integrated with its “Find My iPhone” tool; if someone steals the thing and then goes anywhere near an Apple BLE-affiliated site (like any Starbucks and most retail stores) it will show up and be trackable.

It’s really cool because it uses signals from everyone’s devices to help you locate it and it’s very accurate. It’s like the next generation low jack

small silver disc with an apple logo. Fits on a keychain.

Oh yeah that’s right, other apple devices also quietly forward the info, I forgot

Brilliant really. Too bad it’s abused by stalkers and intelligence agencies.

Samsung makes a similar device. I have one on my car keys and one on my dog’s collar. I need to hide one in my Jetski and I guess Bass case.
