I tried singing while praying, and now I’m permanently banned from most every church in the country.
I don’t want that to happen to my bass playing too, so I just don’t do it.
… oh wait, it says playing not praying. My bad

Open question - did any of you guys get special singing lessons / voice emission classes or did you just practise singing at home? Whenever I try singing along with something (bass playing or music generally) it just sounds rough…
I think a lot of it is confidence - if someone critiques your bass playing it can be rough, but if they critique your singing it’s like a kick in the jewels IMO

I just do it at home myself, and am not good. I don’t have a very good environment to record voice or practice it.
I heavily use Melodyne to even things out.
