Standard scale bass for kids?

Get the bass that makes you want to pick it up and play it every time you look at it.

@Gergo +1 for the Ibanez suggestions. I started on a short scale Ibanez TMB30. Easy to play, small light body and good quality for the price; plus used you might score one for a few hundred or less. I’m 5’7” for reference in the video.

Excellent point, and more important than any other factor besides how playable it is.

So… Today we went into a guitar store. He tried out 4 or 5 different basses and left with the Squier PJ. I guess I’m not worried any more. He easily manages playing it. Thanks for every single reply!
