I think it’s more bloody-mindedness and being stubborn than anything to do with patience.
Will reattempt the Aria later on. Fingers crossed.
All this faffing just because I bought an amp…
Could have stayed 100% acoustic and oblivious. Ignorance is indeed sometimes bliss apparently

The Aria now plays through an amp and sounds lovely on all strings. I have no point of reference but I think it sounds grand, and my wife even pulled a ‘not bad’ face too.
Thanks for the feedback early on, it gave me the encouragement to persist and get both basses sorted, even if one is going.
May record something to celebrate
