It’s an AI channel that’s been popping up everywhere.
I block AI channels on principle.
I don’t have time to watch sport on the tv but I am a competitive cyclist. However, when I race I’m not interested in winning until someone passes me, then my competitive streak kicks in.
I was a pretty big sports fan prior to Covid. I’ve gotten back into [American] football this year being back in the area of my team, but it doesn’t quite have the same appeal to me as it did before.
Vinko Bogata, the man who infamously spawned one-half of one of the most iconic sports phrases.
I grew up with a dad, brothers and uncles who were rabid team sports fans. As a kid, I actively tried to get into it so I could share their excitement, but watching team sports (football, baseball, basketball, etc.) never attracted me. No dis on it, just zero fascination with it. ![]()
I’d say the phrase is famous. No notoriety or wickedness as relates to the term infamy.
not personally super into it other than to recognize that curling is the ultimate sport.
Not team sports, but I follow a lot of motorsports. I try to watch F1, IndyCar, and MotoGP, and at least keep up with WRC, WEC, Supercars, and GP2.
Star Craft 2 is the best sport.. ![]()
closely followed by MotoGP ![]()
guess one of those is a team sport, even though just one person does the race
I enjoy watching some sports… but I don’t follow teams. Like… watching a game can be fun! Putting on jerseys and yelling at the screen and getting personally involved is… not. At least to me.
If you put on a soccer game, for instance, odds are I’ll probably zone out and watch the game. I don’t know - don’t care - who is actually playing, I just like soccer. But I can’t remember the last time I cared about or watched a Superbowl. Or a World Series. And questions like “Hey, how ‘bout them Dodgers!?” are usually met with a blank stare and a shrug.
Been a big hockey fan for as long as I can remember. My Dad is from Michigan, so I grew up a Red Wings fan. I think that was part of the reason that I became an Avs fan in the 90s (teenage angst), plus they had Sakic and Forsberg who were my favorite players at the time.
I didn’t really get in to hockey until college but did go see some Winter Hawks games as a kid too.
Big football fan as a kid, much less over time, but I did play it in school too.
I am not in to watching sports on TV at all now but live is awesome. It’s just so different.
Back in the 80s I raced heavily and vied for the Florida State Road Race Championships. I did this while working full time, and certainly didn’t have any chance to follow anything other than road bike racing.
Cycling is still my most likely followed team sport. It really depends from year to year, for me.
Good luck with your racing Jonathanhaynes43. I mainly ride a Cervelo R5, BTW.
Before that they were the original Colorado Rockies… even to this day when some one mentions that name for the baseball team I still think “hockey” in my mind.
Forsberg was such great player!
Love that guy’s stuff, he just did one for the Superbowl ![]()
I think of this every time I’m subjected to some boring sports team conversation.
Play sport sure, talk about someone else doing it. No, boring. Next.
