That’s what I did, then dropped the WAV into reaper.
@JoshFossgreen Some clarification would be a bit helpful.
I had to practice 1-3 a bit first just to get the basic tab and rhythm down.
Lvl 4 for me was like Bozzerwolf’s example for lvl 5. Even after about 20 mins solid practice on just lvl 4 @ 50% I was still flubbing it hard.
I was gonna bow out cause I’m pretty sure 10mins a day might get me proficient with the tabs but not the actual exercises as well. I figured these were more advanced than I am currently since I can’t even get the fretting down let alone focus on the plucking.
I took a video of my newb self not being able to keep up. My laptop microphone barely heard anything. So I’m out. I think these may be more advanced than me anyway.
I think we should just share the initial video, even if it’s not perfect. If you practice for 10 minutes every day for 14 days, you’ll see a significant improvement and likely learn a lot along the way. It’s a challenge where it’s totally okay to make mistakes, because the goal is to see how much you can progress in two weeks. Use your phone or something to record a video and audio clip, and then upload it. Maybe this is something for @cheeze_pizza or @dlamson13 ?
At the PC now @sunDOG, do you still need it ?
I’ll try to work it out I’ve the next day or two…
I practiced the rhythm and memorizing the tab of level 2 and 3. I can’t play level 3 at 100 percent, I’ll keep practise. Tomorrow I’ll start the exercises, I like them, independent of the actual challenge.
Level 1 second attempt
Level 2 second attempt
If I went into each 100% cold, you’d have a video of me staring at the screen like I’d never picked up a bass in my life, while I fumbled the first level, let alone any of the ones after it.
1-3 took about 5 to 10 mins each to get to a point where they were comparable to yours I guess. i.e recognizable but still making mistakes.
4 as said, 20-30 mins at 50% and I was still tripping all over myself.
That’s why I’d like a little clarification on just how green Josh wants those first video’s, because if the objective is to have a first video practicing the actual exercise, which for lvl 4 is the plucking finger order, then I would have thought we really need to have the basic fretting down first before worrying about what the plucking fingers are doing.

Let me know if that link works for you!
(Expires on the 25th of August)
Everybody else that needs… that just crude wave.
Should be ready to use!
EDIT: Also in discord - main channel for those that have issues with dropbox!
Thanks a lot!!
That is also a start:-) I think he wants us to get it somewhat under the skin, but the idea is that level 5 should be really hard unless you are pro or something. So if you stare on day one and play it on day 14, I guess you will make it into @JoshFossgreen next video.
If someone can make a guitar pro file out of the tab, it would be great.
This is the perfect description for my video at 50%
I plan to give this a go too I haven’t watched the video yet so I’ll try to absorb the instructions tomorrow, hopefully all will make sense.
From some of your comments, it sounds like it could be a very tough challenge
I can do that, just give me some time.
Great I’ve tried to doit but couldn’t even put the first half note in the tab. I definitely need to watch some tutorials.
Not sure if this works:-) Dropbox Think you can download it and then open it in GP. Hope it helps.
Downloaded it also! Thanks!
Great!!! It works, thank you so much!
Took me a minute or ten to wrap my head around level one. It’s like Josh’s own version of Billie Jean
