The ultimate BassBuzz

Ok taking a little survey what would make an ultimate BassBuzz if we were to have one made.

Here’s the parameters I have so far

Orange-but what orange? Sparkle? Burst?

4 string
34” scale
Neck through
P pickup.
Multi scale
Black hardwares
3x1 MusicMan style tuners.

Please feel free to add on and help shape and hopefully come up with some cool ideas.

Do you have an example of orange burst? Because that sounds pretty cool.

Well BassBuzz is orange and black theme. Thanks to Brian @TNKA36 for the idea. I’m thinking a brighter burst of something like this

I’m good with almost everything, with a few exceptions.

Maybe Dibetou as body wood or chambered body for lighter weight.

How about a double P/MM config for maximum badassery?

Orange sunburst is cool.

Double p sounds great. The reason for black hardware is orange and black theme.

Looks awesome @Al1885 ,

That makes total sense. Sorry, missed that theme part.

I just prefer chrome over black on my basses, if I can help it. But on this BassBuzz bass, I get it. :+1:

How about a dark fretboard with orange dots?

Translucent orange is cool but for bass Buzz, more like the color of the reply button on the forum page would work., or straight up traffic cone / cal trans orange

Black pick guard
Orange pick ups

Black headstock
Orange tuners

I like the idea of the pickguard and hardware being black, and the body and headstock being orange. Seems symmetrical, IMHO.

On the fence on orange pups. Could work fine, with maybe an option for choosing black pups. Dealer’s choice.

Well it’s most likely be done by these guys, Lignum, who made my Fretless and currently my short scale multi-scale. My Fretless is about 7.5lbs so I’m not worried that it’s going to be heavy. They can also stain or paint any color we want and not have to use any Pickguard.

These are the pickups I have in mind

I say we buy a black pickguard and have your croatian put on an ebony fret board

A set of strings is good, but some want 4, some 5 and some 6 strings,
A little tuner can be better for everyone or a nice capo.
It’s hard to pick the perfect one, so many different players.

Man, that’s a beautiful fretless, @Al1885. :eyes:

Those Lignum guys have got their build act together!

That looks pretty BassBuzzy already.

Those Delano pups are very distinctive. :slightly_smiling_face:

Great idea, how about making a 2 piece Pickguard a la Sandberg, out of ebony.

Yes absolutely I’d also get a custom finger ramp too. On my short scale we are playing around with retractable ones like Fedora but I’m not sure if I’m committed to making a cavity on the body yet.
