It was a bit more challenging, but not overly difficult. I had to work a bit harder to get the intonation just right, but it was well worth the effort.

play a chromatic scale on frets 1-5, keep repeating it until you’ve got the locations in your muscle memory. The only thing that’s going to get you “there” is a lot of repetition… and don’t practice your mistakes
I played in the dark a lot so that helped force me to get good at not looking and I usually play from tab and don’t memorize stuff so I’m always looking at the music. I also spent a lot of time working on scales and arpeggios on my fretless bass which really forces you to nail things
I juet played “dreams” by fleetwood mac and “cats in the cradle” by ugly kid joe. The first one moves mosyly between frets 1, 3 and 5 and is pretty easy, the second is mostly 2-7 and goes up to 9 a few times and is a little.harder but theyre both fun and a good woekout doe some shifting.
