To Bridge Upgrade, or Not to Bridge Upgrade

Fair enough. To answer that question: in my opinion, you should leave it alone. But I’m an Aerodyne fundamentalist

Ok then, so only 3 solutions.

A. Acoustic bass

B. Put up aluminum foil over all the windows just like Chuck

C. Move house

Oh! Yeah, I did. Based on the comments, it didn’t seem like it would have been significant enough to replace the cool black chrome Fender bridge with the straight black Gotoh bridge. So I stayed with the Fender bridge.

Unrelated, I did replace the knobs. I really didn’t like the knobs that came on it, and I had some brand new black chrome standard dome knobs that matched the other hardware. But I’m keeping the original knobs, of course, just in case.

LOL. Or just re-shield the bass?

 True but I’m trying to give you more free time. You’re currently averaging a bass a month x however long it takes you to reshield each bass.

Just tell your better half ‘we’re selling the house and moving, it’s a shielding thing’. She’ll probably understand.

That actually made me laugh out loud for reals. Thanks, I needed that.

BTW…I ended up getting a Hipshot Badass bridge. I like it…not so sure that it changed the tone or sustain any, but…it looks cooler? I guess?

Great choice. That’s what I’d go with. Congrats!
