Wall Mounting a Bass as Art

Last post on this topic, I swear.

I ordered the Warmoth neck. Expensive little f*cker, but I figured… I click with this bass more than any other bass I’ve ever owned. I want to play it all the time, but it bugs me so hard that the neck is twisted; it’s like a wedgie I can’t pull out. I want this to be my #1 bass, why shouldn’t it have a straight neck? I mean… I bought this thing TWICE. I’ve already spent WAY more than it’s worth just to have it. It shouldn’t be the Bent-Neck Lady of basses.

So, once it gets here, I’ll need to have the pocket width routed out by about 1/4". I might be able to do that with sandpaper, but I don’t trust myself enough. So I’ll probably take it to someone to get it done.

And then I can hang the old neck on the wall as art!

Congrats! The heart wants what the heart wants, and you love that bass. Take care of your baby and your baby will take care of you.

Here’s to finding a competent luthier/tech you can rely on. :beers:

Have a great Fourth! :fireworks:

Hi! I’ve got my Birdsong custom bass and a Martin guitar mounted on my pine-boarded walls. Etsy—“Rod Birch Guitar Stands”. Handmade from Canada. Absolutely beautiful mounts to accommodate any shaped neck. Incredibly quality, strength and appearance in a variety of woods. I like them so much I have two more on the way. One to accommodate my new Birdsong super short scale bass by Scott Beckwith coming within the next six months. I highly recommend him as well to anyone interested in a short scale or super short scale bass. Outstanding bass and business.
