Awesome then and awesome now. A lot of great stuff in the genre from that era. I was really in to stuff like Bomb the Bass, PWEI, and MC 900ft Jesus.

MARRS even hit #1 for 4AD with the slightly more mainstream Pump Up The Volume. Beat Dis was about the best though, really great use of sampling at the time.

Hot hot hot

Wednesday Campanella dropped a new video today, such an interesting project. Seems edgy to me - Japanese women don’t wear leggings (other than under clothes) and tattoos are taboo.

She is so weird. Not in a bad way mind you, she’s great. Right now she’s in, of all things, a Pizza Hut commercial that plays on a giant billboard outside my office window every few minutes.

Stockings like that? Sure they do. What you don’t usually see are things like stirrup pants or exercise/yoga pants on their own, like people do in the US.

What we call leggings. Too form fitting.

Utaha has such presence

Ahh. In this case not unusual because of the skirt. Pretty common actually, especially in winter. What you don’t usually see is just tight fitting leggings.

Lisa-X then

So weird to see Hazuki, rhythm guitar, outside of Nemophila.

just accidentally discovered that the video for my favorite rem song was filmed by (strangely) the young cinematographer alton brown. yes, that alton brown.
