The sword. Because damn they sound good.
Not everyone’s cup of tea, but I found this this today and I really enjoyed it.
John Williams is simply amazing
This is great @JerryP
Makes me want to understand the history of film scoring and how the (yup, imma gonna say it) “standard” format came to be (I am assuming from Broadway but maybe not).
Now I have to go find this out!
Love the groove on both
That the only reason I want to get an octave pedal, lol.
Bonus, Tony Levin was also playing on a Sabre bass.
Same for many a bass player I’d imagine.
Damn Bonnie Rait is just the bomb.
Literally, one of the greatest albums ever in the history of prog rock. Fish is such a wordsmith and Steve Rothery can play with the best of them. He really kills the solo on “Uzi’s on the Street Corner” Marillion at their finest.
Hi Eddie,
Never listened to Marillion before. Thanks for sharing really liking their sound!
On my list of most awesomest songs ever made in the history of ever and ever
Been thinking I want to put a little bassline behind this tune, as a ‘create from scratch’ sorta challenge thing.
Good gravy I love Kate.
Some factoids about this video, which are really cool…
This is a special piece of film to accompany the release of the live single ‘And Dream Of Sheep’. The vocal was performed live while filming Kate lying in the huge water tank at Pinewood Studios. This was to create a sense of realism, as the character in the song is lost at sea. However it became more realistic than Kate had imagined. She spent so long in the water during the first day of filming that she contracted mild hypothermia. She recovered after a day off and carried on filming. Everyone agreed it had added to the authenticity of the performance. This film was then projected onto a large oval screen which hung above the stage during the performances of her live show.
This is awesome! Sounds really familiar, definitely going on a playlist. Thanks!
Marillion are up in my top two as far as favorite bands of all time. Fish is still killing it with his new album “Weltschmerz”. And Steve Rothery is sublime on his album “Ghost of Pripyat” But Fish’s lyrics are some of the best I have ever read. His story telling could make a good book.
Just unwrapped the Joe Dart vinyl by Vulfpeck. Side A is playing right now…
Most boys had a crush on Kate back in the 80’s then grew up a bit more to have another on Cher, lol.
I reckon Tony Levin could play a one string tea chest and make it sound funky.
Oh I would still date Cher to this day, and during my Kate affair, and years prior as well. Love everything about her.
lol. Top of my list is Christie Brinkley and Daisy Fuentes.

Christie Brinkley
I saw her at LaGuardia a couple years ago.
I was very unsure it was her because she looked so so so so so young.
But she was with that weird husband post Billy and I recognized him.
She sat at a table in the AA terminal food court and he ran around getting her everything.
