My long-time friend Chuck (drummer, used to be part of the DC punk scene) and I used to sing this whilst hanging out at his house (including the naughty part ). We thought it was hilarious

Love JAMC.
That was a great album. My fave is Violet.
Great album - agreed! My favorite is a three-way-tie: Violet, She Walks On Me, and Rock Star
Funnily enough I was never a major fan but I listened to Honey’s Dead pretty obsessively back in the 90s…
Too bad his pretty Badass bassline was mixed out on the album (though it’s much louder here for emphasis)
Bass first starts at about 36-37 seconds in
Listening to Santana’s Soul Sacrifice Woodstock triumph of live rock’n’roll performance … and the first comment sums it up so good.
Wasn’t the bass mixed out of EVERY track on that album?
Yes. I’m pretty sure there is an entire “…And Justice For Jason” upload of the entire album out there.
There’s a couple stories on what happened. Hetfield says they were burnt out from touring, fried, and they didn’t wear earplugs while playing. So they wanted the best sounding album, and mixed it to what sounded good. Since they weren’t hearing the high frequencies well, they kept boosting them til they could. And in the process they lost the low end.
Anyway, here it is with bass
This was so 80’s my kid came to see why I was laughing so much. His exact comment was “you people were cringe”! lol
Definitely not for everyone’s hear, but I do love this band :
