What Bass should i buy

I had several Thunderbirds but I won’t be buying another one.
This is the only bass on my wishlist, had to sell mine two years ago, just hard deciding which color, red or silver.
The top pickup is a super P pickup and the bottom one is a very potent humbucker.
I wouldn’t say this bass sounds like a Thunderbird, doesn’t sound like a Stingray, either, but it sounds amazing no matter which pickup or combo you choose.

Yeah, that’s true. And my point is valid that people should upgrade to an instrument that someone they like plays. Which begs the question of why I added a Schecter Riot-4 to my collection. I kind of thought the EMGs, unique shape, and the fact that it’s a Schecter make it my “Metal” bass. But no one famous plays one. I just thought it was cool and I like the way it felt. Also sounds and plays killer. Indonesia has got it going on for sure! So I guess sometimes the advice on upgrades is just going with your gut feeling. Also, can’t hurt to get out there and play as many different bass guitars as possible and just see what feels good.

Bought 3 bass guitars from A Flash Flood of Gear. It’s a 100% internet business. They are all killer. So there’s a sense of trust with Alex Budnick knowing he curates a fine collection of used instruments. So that’s another angle to approach this problem from. Buy from someone you trust.
