What scale length bass should I get?

If I’d ever have my signature bass it would be the Yamaha LadyBug medium scale. I absolutely love it. I asked Lignum to build me a neck through one but they a really really want to stay off replicas.

The FT7 planner headphone became available after the tariff started now instead of $700 it’s at least double that. Same goes to the FX17, I was going to order one as soon as it becomes available, that too was after the tariff, and now the $1500 Fx17 is at least $3000. I’ll just wait until it all blows over.

FWIW, that was not my experience. I started with a 30” Hofner, then got a 32” Squier Jaguar, and now have several 34” basses. At this point the 32” Jaguar is probably my go-to bass, but I have never found that it took more than a few minutes to adjust when moving between different scale lengths. But I still look at the fretboard most of the time so — as always — YMMV.

Yeah I should clarify that I’m referring to playing with out looking at the fretboard. If you’re looking then moving between scale lengths probably is a non-issue.
