For me it was “Message in a Bottle,” by the Police. Always loved that song, and was thrilled when I could stumble my way through it for the first time.

Control is an autobiographical movie about Joy Division based on Ian Curtis’ widow’s book and interviews with the band.
Disorder is absolutely typical of their sound. You should definitely buy the album it is on (Unknown Pleasures), it’s considered the seminal work of post-punk. Here’s the original:

Yes, Ian Curtis committed suicide right at the band’s peak. A combination of his illness, anxiety, and depression over his affair and marriage. Extremely tragic.
The surviving members formed New Order and were of course super successful.

I would have to say the first song I ever played from start to finish, knowing the whole thing, with no misses, skip overs, or changing up so I could play would be
Paranoid by Black Sabbath.

His plucking makes it look way more involved.
If you have problems crossing strings while chugging (index on A string, Ring finger on G string, chugging 1/8 notes) while fretting octaves E-E (7th & 9th) and D-D (5th & 7th), then there is an 8 bar bridge that is a little tricky, and near impossible with out a compressor, otherwise all you hear is the upper octave on the G string.

Interestingly enough, you get a glimpse of his fingers and he is flying on the fretboard on that part, lifting fingers off instead of just deadening the string.

That is hard AF to do. I am almost thinking he was being a little theatrical in his performance in this one.
There is almost NO way to mute or or play that cleanly if you pluck like he is and have fingers flying off the fretboard. I think he may have been having fun with it being that it may have been a stage performance for video, and the song may have been a separate track mixed in.
I could be way the F off on this one, but try it, there is like ZERO WAY to do that if you don’t use some sort of controlled technique with one hand.
