Still plugging away at clone wars. Almost three seasons down now, which is about 60 episodes. Four to go.
Wakanda forever. Omg!
It’s quite terrible, very single dimensional and CGI heavy. I didn’t enjoy the almost 3 hours saga.
Or even Battle Beyond the Stars - a film that I personally felt best engages with the themes of Kurosawa’s classic ![]()
Just watched the trailer. This looks so bad it’ll be good. I’m checking it out. ![]()
Film yourself, a la Mystery Science Theater
Best TV show theme song? The Rockford Files! Also by Mike Post and Pete Carpenter.
Have you ever seen “The Searchers” with John Wayne? One of his better performances, I think.
Of course it’s all personal taste, what shows we like(d) and the association with the theme music. All valid.
One theme song I like, which one of my sons plays on piano from a music book he has of such things, is the theme to the show “WKRP in Cincinnati”; good bass line, too!. I used to really like that show, and all the cast: Dr. Johnny Fever, Venus Flytrap, etc. Part of it was my interest in radio back in those decades, and I even worked at my college radio station (not the greatest DJ for sure, but it was a good experience overall). I did an internship at a radio station, and just from listening to a few stations back then, you could see how the DJs moved around. Anyway, that theme is nostalgic pour moi! ![]()
“I’m at WKRP in Cin-cin-NA-ATi” ![]()
Deadwood.
Right now, my guilty pleasure is a series streaming on Peacock. Resident Alien…Alan Tudyk is in it and he is absolutely hilarious.
I’ve got that one on DVD ![]()
I’m a big Duke fan .
Then I am sure you remember “The Cowboys”. Another good one.
I always liked the The Shootist, I think it was his last film
C, mon!! Barney Miller of course.
Hands down… the Best!
How about South Park by Les Claypool?

It’s been out for a while but I’m just now watching The Beatles: Get Back.
It’s fascinating. I’m especially loving the songwriting bits. It feels like I’m watching these iconic songs being written in real time
