Whatcha Watchin'? The TV Thread

As a foreign speaker I use Google Translate to communicate with English speakers. Translated into Dutch your wording was really wonderful

On a side note, we watched the Amsterdam episode of Ted Lasso last night.

“widow’s bay” was excellent.

not generally a football fan but have been loving every season of ‘welcome to wrexham.’

Yes, I have to agree. I had really hoped for something… “cooler”. I hope not that this season is basically providing the background/how we got here! I was really more interested in Juliette’s story and how that develops… (Season 2 already felt a bit drawn out/diluted).

Also interesting to see what they have in store with “Sugar”, now that the rabbit is out of the hat, so to speak.

Star City is high on the list! we are going on vacation next week, so we don’t want to start it until we get back.

Really?

I couldn’t get through “This Is Sad”

Oh man, the end of episode 7 was also great (but somehow expected).
Really looking forward to the next episode now … and sad to know that is the season finale.

Can’t wait for season 2…

Exact same here. I watched episodes 6 & 7 last night. Now for the 3rd season of Silo if all episodes have been released. Otherwise, I’ll keep waiting.

Unfortunately, that link doesn’t work outside of AUS.

Here in France, I saw the match 2 where the Maroons dominated. The last match was sadly, for you, dominated by the Blues. Cleary is just so good. I think he was 5 from 6 or 6 from 7 on conversions and that final penalty kick.

I love Rugby League rules. Rugby Union dominates in Europe, and there’s plenty to like about it, but NRL matches are faster with a lot more action.

I got hooked on it during several business trips to Sydney in the late ‘90s. I attended a North Sydney Bears match day and visited their club, but then couldn’t find any updates on them. [I lived in Chicago with the Chicago Bears football team at the time.] Years later, I found out that they’d been kicked out the the NRL due to, IIRC, financial irregularities. So much for the connection.

Still, it’s great that BeIN Sports France carries 2-3 NRL matches every week.

Glad you enjoyed it. I only watch 3 games of rugby a year and that is Origin.
The ref Ashly Klein is notoriously biased we, reckon the cockroaches have an extra team member when he is on.
The Blues were hungrier last game and deserved the win even if one try came off a forward pass
