I had a short Gabber, Hardcore phase, but these genres are tad too much for me. 170+ bpm of tuned bass drum for a whole night wasn’t that enjoyable without some illicit substances for me. 
And I am not that much into this sorta things.

Same. A friend is a Happy Hardcore DJ though so I get some from the side

My favorite rhythm practice tool is still the phone app:
Drumgenius
Some cool drummer transcribed and performed actual drum patterns from actual songs in a huge variety of styles (most are real weird jazz loops, but there are great loops in other genres).
You can adjust tempo or just use it as a metronome.
It’s $10-ish for all the 400 loops in the app.
Highly recommend.
