Wireless headphone suggestions

Hey BB community! Happy Friday.

I’m Looking for a recommendation on wireless studio headphones that work with a standard headphone jack on an amp.

Anyone have a suggestion on a pair that’s worked well?

I wouldn’t mind getting away from my headphones that are tethered to my amp with a cord reminiscent of the one found on a 1980s family telephone!

aside from the cord I really like my Sony studio monitor headphones for comfort and quality. I can wear my AirPods and listen to B2BA while hearing my own bass.

The only 2 wireless that works well for bass practice is the Waza Air bass and Spark Neo. The latency of the bluetooth is not well for instruments practice.

An alternative that works really well is something like the Boss Katana Go. It’s basically a full featured headphone amp that plugs directly into your bass, and then you plug your wired headphones/IEMs into it. That way you get the freedom of complete mobility - you are wired to your bass but you and the bass as a unit are free to move around. You can stream music/lessons to it via Bluetooth, and you don’t have to worry about the latency because your instrument and your headphones are both directly connected to it.

Ok - so this basically eliminates having a cable run from my bass output jack to the conventional amp on the floor? It plugs into the output jack on the bass?

I have active pickup on my bass…Does that rule this option out for me?

Ok - thanks for those options…I’ll dig into those a little bit more!

No Boss Katana Go works with active basses.

I have it, sounds fantastic.

That’s exactly right. It serves as it’s own amp that drives the headphones you plug into it. No need for your conventional amp to be involved in this case. As @Barney said, it sounds great - there are some great tones out of the box and with the app you can customize the sound to your heart’s content. If that’s your thing.

Yeah I keep that in my backpack with an IEM just in case. It’s pretty cool little gadget. It works with both Guitars and Basses. It has a bunch of built in effects from Boss.

Here’s some sample straight from the Katana Go! I think I have the compressor on and that’s about it. Connect directly to iPad.

Appreciate all three of you! Thanks for the great 101 on this tech - I will check the youtube link and continue down this path. Would be great to not have to deal with cords when practicing for an hour or less! This community continues to impress
