Would you buy an instrument that has been listed on Reverb for 9 years?

I’m in the market for a u-bass, and I been eyeballing this Kala Rumbler on Reverb. It’s discounted, and open box, which tells me it’s been handled at least once. I noticed that it’s been on Reverb for nine years which feels like a damn long time lol. Any thoughts on the purchasibility of such a thing?

How are you determining that it was on Reverb for nine years? I ask because, although I was able to find one from model year 2017, the only thing I ever see for when they were listed is “more than a month ago”.

Sometimes the listing (when viewed on PC) says it was listed further back than a month. I’ve definitely seen that for some builders who keep the same listing up a long time when selling multiple copies of the same item.

It’s this one:

While I was chatting with the seller, the listing ended, but I doubt it sat there for a decade unsold until I expressed interest lol, so maybe I’m just dumb and messaged a guy about an ended listing. He made me an offer though lol.

That is strange!

It’s gone again. Pick another bass.

I decided to get a new one to minimize risk. Should be here on Monday!

Will it be as good as a 9 year old one though?
