I just heard back from them and they currently don’t offer a short scale 5 string fretless from the custom shop. So…I just used the contact form on Lignum’s website (I’ve seen your Lignum basses and watched several build videos; impressive!) to see if they can make a fretless version of the 30" 5 string Spring bass for me. Do you have any advice for the fingerboard wood?

Nice! Ebony would be my first choice. Fretless choice of fingerboard really determines the tone. Hard is good, porous is good like Wenge. Synthetic is also good, Richlite is awesome.
