Hello, does anyone has an idea of good 5 string basses left handed for 700$, I shearch more of a funk modern sounding bass ? Thanks
I think Schecter probably has the most selection I’ve seen, but I’m right-handed so haven’t been looking too closely. But at least they have a “Lefties” option in their Bass menu to view them all at once without having to sift through. Looks like they have 3 5-string LH models between $699 and $749 on their site. 31 models total. Of course, check other sites to see if there are any sales or lower prices. Could even look up for used knowing the model.
Schecter Ibanez Warwick esp ltd seems to be the most lefty oriented brands from experience. For 700 if you can get one of those you’ll be in great shape. There’s also mtd basses.
I agree with @kamikos. Schecter and Ibanez tend to have a really good stock of lefty basses. I personally upgraded to Schecter’s Omen Extreme 5, and the action is superb compared to the modifed Rogue I got from Guitar Center starting out.
I’ll jump on the Schecter fan bandwagon too. I’ve got a C4-GT that I picked up off ProAudioStar a few years back and it’s my everyday player. I like the thin C neck and the EMG pickups. I would recommend the Schecters with the EMG pickups over their in-house ones. I think they sound a lot better. $700 should get you there. Especially if it’s used or B-stock (mine was B-stock and, after a set-up, I love how it plays). Also, the Stilettos are a 35” scale so that low B is probably less floppy.
