Yep, I watched those. It’s really too bad the Session Men documentary was never distributed. But at least the Wrecking Crew doc was. It’s excellent.

Well, art is also a way to challenge and question things, and it seems the tapped banana brought a lot of people to the museums, and even Brooke Shields taped a banana to her forehead, so I guess it was worth it 
The guy who sold the banana to the artist for 25 cents was not very happy when he heard how much money the artist made out of this.

Yeah the whole controversy is hilarious. The exhibit had to remove it because too many people were showing up to see it

I heard that the banana needs to be replaced every few days. He might have offered a subscription and will be rich in a few years, considering that banana prices will go up due to Panama disease!

They were a limited series of 3, but they had to replace the banana because some people ate it. The funniest one was a performance artist who made an intervention called “The Hungry Artist”.

It’s their version of ‘Mid-century modern’ living. Instead, they are embracing the ‘70s.
That said, this is a sadness. However, there are many artists releasing special hard to get things on cassette. I have a couple as I collect any physical media from a couple of folks, but nothing to play it on. I guess they finally want to play the stuff they are buying, lol.
Yeah I know. And DJs making mixtapes again and even hosting cassette tape fueled parties - which was fun when we did it and gave them to our friends and SO’s (because it was all we had), but a pointless hassle now that everyone has a free digital mixtape maker in their pocket.

Wow! Modern! I collected 45s and had an RCA portable player that I could stack 10 45s on the spindle. We’d listen to those, then flip them all over and listen to the B sides. That portable player and my 45s collection improved my popularity with the girls! One song that got a lot of play was Lover’s Concerto by The Toys. We danced to that one a lot. And some Beatles, Stones, Beach Boys, Duke of Earl by Gene Chandler, etc. Lots of good memories.
