Play that fonky music, white boy!
holy shit that’s perfect
like so perfect I am amazed I never made the connection
Has anyone here tried to compose music this way?
You need only a good microphone, a pet, household objects, a DAW and some imagination ![]()
Speaking as a Canadian, I’m super happy Neil moved to the US. He can keep on rockin’ and Canada is just that bit freer of his amazing vocal talent.
He’s just like Dylan, but can’t sing nearly as well.
Speaking as an American and a Neil Young fan, I’m super-glad he moved to the US. He’s a good man and a great musician.
But, as is the case with all music, his doesn’t have to appeal to everyone.
Just to millions and millions of fans around the world.
We played Neil Young at our gig last night and it always goes down well. They love him in BC.
Over in Alberta you’re probably listening to Bro Country and ripping round in lifted diesel trucks!
Posted your strings to you this afternoon ![]()
Would you feel the same way about Geddy Lee and Rush if they moved to the U.S.? Inquiring minds…
Rush was always an awesome band in search of a lead singer ![]()
But seriously though, it wouldn’t make much of a difference, so many Canadian artists and comedians live south of the border anyways.
Where’s the ban hammer?
Seems to happen to Aussie ones too-follow the money I guess.
(also they won’t get worshiped as stars here, they are either treated as normal people or as being a bit jumped up)
Majority of Canadians live south of Seattle
Doesn’t apply to me.
Vancouver is definitely Seattle’s best suburb.
Same isn’t true for Portland but that’s a different Vancouver. It’s American Vancouver. The worst kind!
