I had that tape.
I agree they were horrible.

But yet, essential listening.

cracks me up that people are collecting cassettes again as a retro trendy thing.
Vinyl I get, it can sound amazing and love the ritual, but cassettes sucked when they were new.

Did you ever have one of these?

I did and cassettes still sucked

Kind of weird that Sony never sold the minidisc outside of Japan. I checked out my wife’s (decade obsolete) one back in the 2000s and it was so much nicer than tapes.

Easily the worst recording medium ever mass produced. Even 8-track was better.

I had a version of the Walkman that also had radio. I remember hearing a radio station in the San Francisco Bay Area playing “I Will Follow” by U2 through the headphones. It sounded great and became one of my favorite songs.

My brother and I used Mini Disc to record our first favourites of the BFBS Rock Show. :metal: Great medium. Portable, durable, high quality, what’s not to love.

We got Minidisc in Europe for definite.
I bought one for my youngest sister when she left home for college in the mid 90’s.
She still has it, and it still works.

Will just put this here. Moa is obviously trolling, trying to make metal heads explode. Chester Bennington is dead which is a tell.

For all the crap they get, they can give too.
