A little music related fun

We’re all a nice bunch in here so I thought a little humour might be in order. Nothing political or too risque, just some music puns etc. to break up the chugging.

(I’m sure @JoshFossgreen or one of his minions can sort it if it’s not in keeping with the forum)

To kick it off I wanted to share this cosplay pair who must’ve put in a huge amount of money, and all for nothing.

Ah!

I remember seeing them in Mark Knopfler’s “Money for Nothing” video!

Thanks for your post . . .

The other day I was thinking about bands that had good songs for beginner bassists and The Cramps sprung to mind, which led to The B52s, which lead to me singing a song in my head. Can you guess what the song was?

The only humorous thing I have to say is that today I finally mastered the bass line of the Jaws theme. I think I’ve reached the pinnacle of my bass playing skills.

Rim shot please…

(Sorry, I’m feeling a bit impish today  )

That’s the hardest one of all.

Wait . . . it gets even better, @joergkutter and @howard!

I practiced this line so much that I can even play it without looking at the fretboard, which was a real accomplishment for me! (@Gio would be proud of that). Some guys that I had been jamming with in a local bar said that since I mastered this bassline, their band never sounded so good! The people in the bar also cheered and raised their glasses to me in appreciation when I started to play it.

I really owe it all to you guys and to @JoshFossgreen for my success!

So . . . what’s next? Should I try to get a booking at a larger venue?
