A little music related fun

I had a wall’s-width of albums — all you listed and a few hundred more. I was also an audiophile with Macintosh gear and ridiculously expensive turntable and stilii.

It was state of the art in the day, but I’m glad the art changed. I gave it all away and never looked back.

If anyone had told me, in the mid ‘90s, that people would someday lament the loss of the world’s second shittiest recording media I would have laughed at them

I like vinyl too but not as a recording media really. For me it’s more a collectible version of the albums I like, and somewhat a way to support my favorite artists.

I buy vinyl versions of new albums quite often, but most have never turned on any turntable. I listen to the digital versions which are much more convenient and probably sound better.

But yeah, a collector edition vinyl is still a joy for me.

Talking music with serious players.

“It’s hard to find a bassist…” :joy:

I really dislike it for recordings but have always loved the packaging. I miss liner notes.

it’s not as good as the one where he always clicks the tongs together twice before turning the brats. but it is music related.

 Luckily both of my girls are from the late 1900’s so they need to be careful about going down that road with Dad or he’ll remind them of their birth years. Otherwise both girls would do that, zero doubt about it because I raised them.
