On the topic of the fidget spinner, the wife the other day offered to let me use her hand mixer to up my plucking speed.

I told her that would just lead to me needing new strings. And a new bass to put under them.

Yeah, both recorded at Abbey Rd

I can happily say that I never have. I’m allergic to that boots-and-pants…stuff.

I got into industrial pretty early on as a teenager. I figured out the boots and pants crowd had better drugs. Lady Miss Kir used to DJ pretty often at the places I’d end up at in Baltimore.

Oh man - she is great! She DJed on a party in Düsseldorf mid 90s. I think it was with Nicolette, can’t remember, maybe cause of the “better drugs”?

Those were the times!

Must have been Nicolette, I played this track for months after that:

I was strictly BYOD, so the best party happened wherever I was. :smirk:

I should have learned this lesson after my first Dead show (my bestie growing up was a deadhead) but did not.

My very first concert had an illustrious lineup:

  • John Mayall and the Bluesbreakers
  • It’s a Beautiful Day
  • Quick Silver Messenger Service
  • and, hell yeah, the inimitable Grateful Dead

That was one hell of a show.

I have been a Deadhead ever since.
