A little music related fun

Perhaps to the label that made $1.6 billion euros…

The CD era was so hostile to music listeners, especially when they were trying to apply drm to prevent copying. $20 mid 90s dollars for 1-2 singles and the rest of the disc filler :face_with_symbols_over_mouth:

Exactly. Same as it ever was. Which is what I meant by:

I agree with your comment, and when I look at artists who are making money it comes down to producing your own music, controlling merch, and working butts off. That seems to be the common factors.

When I look at artists doing well that seems to be the common stuff. Like Poppy, who took off when she dumped her producer and took charge herself. Lindsay Sterling is another

I still do a mixtape every year. Songs that are new from 11/1-10/31. Must fit on one CD.

Most people just get a Spotify link, but there are 7 physical copies that go out each year.

LOL - you don’t even use the new name for Twitter.

By the way, the EU is going to rename the “Gulf of Mexico” to “Gulf of Austria”, as it was ruled by Austrian Archduke Maximilian during the Second Mexican Empire. Just saying

Personally I want New York to be named “New Holland” again!
