It’s the World Series because the first one was held in 1903. At the time, baseball was a uniquely American sport. So, all teams in the world were American.

It is what it is, brother.
It’s like railing against the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame: not agreeing with how something outside one’s control works ain’t gonna change a thing. It just dumps more carbon dioxide into the ozone layer. Better to conserve energy and ignore it.

I wasn’t aware slaves railed against the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the World Series featuring American teams exclusively.
Goes to show you learn something new every day. 
Still - if you’re gonna have a World Series, opening it up a bit wouldn’t hurt.
It’s crazy how seriously Japan takes baseball and how much the fans are in to it, and that’s even before you factor in the beer girls.

Hyperathletic 20-somethings running up and down the stands all game with a keg strapped to their backs and a bunch of ice cream too. They are proof that deities of at least some kind exist.
