Acoustic Bass with the guitar course?

Continuing the discussion from HUGE Announcement - GuitarBuzz exists!:

I have a question related to the guitar course - I have an acoustic bass ( as well as an electric one that I used for the bass course ) I am taking the course again, with the acoustic bass. I am hoping to learn ‘finger style’ but the bassbuzz course doesn’t cover that. I already planned to take the guitar course with an electric guitar. Here’s my question - can I take the course for guitar using my acoustic bass ? I already figured out part of the course will be lost - specifically the top 2 strings on a regular guitar - but I figure it would really help with the acoustic bass, especially using finger acoustic style. Am I missing anything here or does this sound right ? Thanks all.

A lot of the foundational lessons are very similar.
You will have trouble when he gets into chords, which is a few lessons in

Thanks. I still plan on taking the course with a (6 string) guitar, but was curious with my acoustic bass.
