Advice on wiring - Mod newbie upgrading HB MB4

Hi all. Having learnt to do a decent setup, I want to start learning about modding. I have a Harley Benton MB4, with which I did B2B! I want to learn about modding and I bought a Warman MM4 for it.
I wonder if anyone has done this and/or if you have tips to do the wiring in parallel for a V/V/T pot config. Diagrams or tutorials super welcomed.
Warman has very little advise on how to do this, hoping I can find some wisedom here!
(I searched the forum but could not find anything(
Thanks

That’s a cool bass!

I understand from the BassTheWorld videos that the VVT wiring is kind of exotic and very specific to that bass!?

Can you not just replace it as is?

Question: why did you choose that specific Warman MM4? Don’t know anything about it, but I ponder about a P/J => HH conversion one day. But most humbuckers are quite expensive.
This one is cheap, so very interesting!

EDIT This link has many wiring diagrams:

It’s in German, but the diagrams can be read in any language…

Thanks! That PDF looks good, I’ll have a proper read. So much information there, much appreciated.
The Warman was recommended in a few forums and as you say, it’s cheap. As I’m learning, if I sc3w up, it won’t be with a £200 piece of kit!
The bass comes with VVT, split coil humbucker, which give more tonal options. Once I open it, I may indeed try to replicate what’s inside. Haven’t tried yet. I’ll keep you posted on sound quality

VVT is not uncommon. I have owned more than one and currently own one now.

hahaha, yes, I also have it for P/J

I just repeat what BassTheWorld said about the Humbucker:

I wired my PMJ pickup bass with each coil on a separate volume pot. Lots of fun mixing them together. The wiring is just like a Jazz bass but with extra coils. You need to be able to identify which wires go with which coil on the MM pickup, watch Dan

This is interesting- I’ll look at the vids after work

if someone is following this, I got an answer from the manufacturer of the pickup: Parallel = black and red to ground, white and green to volume input (s)
Short and sweet, of course, this is for the warman I bought

And a last update, I finally came around to swap the pickup. I can confirm, the Warman is an absolute beast. Loads of gain and tones to play around with. Definitely an upgrade, as I was looking to get an angrier tone
