As I was reading the initial question, I was thinking you might be over thinking it. Glad the thread got you there. Agree with the notion that getting out to play is the top priority - and once you’re doing that, you can then prioritize whatever else pops up with the bass choice. Just wouldn’t want you to worry about the bass choice and have that get in the way of getting out there and playing with other folks. I find I’m a part time recruiter for the School of Rock - inviting people to the show, then giving the sales pitch about joining me for the next session. ROI on fun is off the charts. Regardless of which bass I’m playing…
