Funny you should mention about the colour. An additional $150, primarily for more colour selection, on the 604, just did not seem right to me. Fortunately, the translucent brown was what clinched the deal for me on the 504. Here in Canada by the time the 504 arrived complete with a hard shell case I paid approximately $1000.00(Cdn). Used was not an option at the time because of Covid shortages. Never regretted the purchase and have no GAS, as far as basses are concerned.

I’m getting closer and closer to embracing (literally, hehe) the bass. Will try it when my thumb has healed up. For me, it was important to understand “is this finish normal” to gauge the quality.
Funnily enough, when I bought my motorbike, I just spent six times the money and didn’t think twice. Well, I did think about which bike to get for about three months, so.
