Amp : 40W or 100W

Will I be put against the wall for suggesting a Boss Katana Bass 210 (bit pricier than the Rumble 100) or the 110 (same price) :slightly_smiling_face:? I can’t compare with a Rumble 100 (due to not having one) but certainly like the way the 210 sounds. Very versatile and the built in power attenuator (down to 1W) is really neighbour-friendly.

100W if you ever plan to play with anyone else

Katana amps are great. The 210 is the way to go, especially if it is the same price!

Katana 210 might be a bit too pricy … what would you think about the 110 ?

The 110 is fine for practice at home, but the 210 is more suitable for band practice and gigs.

I have a Fender Rumble 800 and it weighs only 29 pounds. Crazy light. The pre and post eq switch was a plus for me. 500 and under does not have this. Why not get something you can grow into if you can afford the higher price?

Great choice! Love mine.

I can carry my Rumble 800 in one hand along with my bass in the other. Plus my backpack. Crazy how light it is.

HI there,
To keep you posted, I was hesitating between Fender and Ampeg in the end, listened to a lot of samples here and there, and Fender got the lead.

I found a great second hand one, so I just got … a Fender Rumble 200 ! Let’s rock’n roll (and blues, and funk and blah blah blah !).

Happy bass day,
Laurent
