Yeah I just watched that with Mark. I also have watched Lee’s video about how he created that bassline. Very interesting.

Still patiently waiting for the day when I can just pluck 16th notes at that tempo, let alone fret…

yeah, it is tricky. Doable, but tricky. I think I will add it to my practice routine.

It’s a nice bassline to have in your bag when you demo a bass in the store.

Even if you just play the first 6 notes.
Or I chopped it up for another exercise, or I should say warm up to the full thing.

first 6 notes, then the next 6 notes, except play the last two notes on the D (5th fret on A string)

so

C C AG CC
D D AG DD

I’ll definitely start to practice this, it’s great for warm ups as well.

Billie Jean; Money; It’s Getting Near Dawn are currently in my warmup routine. I think I’ll add this as well.

I only know the main riff part, is there more to it. I have not listened to the song in years, so I can’t recall the bass line.

The Riff at the intro of the song is all I play for warm up, I just play it over and over about a dozen times, but it’s pretty much the same throughout the entire song (with a few variations).
